THE ROLE

Avant de postuler à ce poste, veuillez lire les informations suivantes concernant cette opportunité ci-dessous.

This role sits at the crossroads of two worlds that Davis is precisely seeking to bring together: architectural expertise and artificial intelligence. This is not a conventional architect position. Your role covers three complementary dimensions: guaranteeing the architectural quality and credibility of our deliverables, which are now generated in a matter of hours; co-producing the architectural drawings that accompany them; contributing actively to the development of our plan generation

technology. This is an architect position whose impact extends well beyond your own output.

You will handle a portfolio of projects covering varied typologies (residential, office, data center, retail, mixed-use operations), with particular weight given to projects with a strong urban dimension and to large operations. Under the supervision of a lead architect, you take them from feasibility through to schematic design.

The core of the role

  • Analyze urban planning documents and derive the project assumptions from them.
  • Develop massing options, circulation principles and capacity scenarios consistent with the regulatory framework, at the scale of the building as well as of the site.
  • Check and correct the outputs of our tools: verify what holds, fix what does not, explain why.
  • Develop the project phase by phase, from a first capacity scenario through to a project worked up to schematic design.
  • Produce the graphic documents (plans, images, diagrams) that make the project clear and compelling.
  • Arbitrate between several scenarios according to programmatic, regulatory and economic constraints.

Contribute to the technology

  • Formalize best practice: translate what a good project respects, typology by typology, into criteria our AI teams can work with.
  • Qualify the model outputs: say what is right, what is wrong, and on what grounds.
  • Work cross-functionally with the product, tech and real estate teams, within the tool's continuous improvement cycles.

Work as a team

  • Take part in project reviews and exchange with the other architects to improve methods and the quality of deliverables.
  • Contribute to the team's graphic standards.

PROFILE

Education: degree in architecture.

Experience: around 5 to 6 years in an agency, ideally a large agency that confronted you with major projects, with urban thinking (site plan, insertion, neighborhood scale) and with several typologies (office, data center, retail, mixed-use). You have also practiced residential. You are comfortable producing credible capacity scenarios on very different programs.

Software: proficiency in Rhino and Revit is essential. Working knowledge of AutoCAD is expected.

Appetite for digital tools and AI: no need to know how to code, but the will to integrate them into your practice and to make it evolve is essential.

Speed and synthesis: our clients are real estate developers, whose requirements bear first on speed and efficiency. You must be able to produce a credible, well-drawn scenario in hours, to get to the point on ambiguous cases, and to know what level of detail serves the decision at each phase.

Technical skills

  • Urban dimension and large projects: comfortable on major operations and on thinking at the scale of the site or the neighborhood (site plan, urban insertion, phasing).
  • Typological versatility: able to move from residential to office, data center or retail, and to grasp quickly the programmatic logic of each.
  • Good command of planning and zoning documents and of the logic of their application (envelope, height, setbacks, spacing rules, footprint, permeable ground, parking, permitted uses), including at the urban scale.
  • Ability to connect a rule to its concrete impact on a plan or on buildable capacity, across a diversity of programs.
  • Good knowledge of the phases of a project, from feasibility to APS, and of what each phase implies in level of detail.
  • Production of graphic documents: images and diagrams that explain the project and make it visible, including at the urban scale.

Additional skills

  • Rigor and a sense of synthesis, notably on ambiguous cases.
  • Structuring information: knowing how to organize what you produce so that others, human or machine, can use it.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with the product, tech and real estate teams.

WHY JOIN DAVIS?

  • Work on a real transformation of the real estate profession and co-build a new-generation feasibility standard with a high-level technical team.
  • Have a direct and visible impact on every deliverable and take part in the continuous progress of the technology.
  • Be exposed to a rare volume and diversity of projects, often large-scale and with a strong urban dimension.
  • Join a driven and ambitious team, in a young growing company where the methods and the tools are still being built and where your expertise really counts. xuezdbg Enough to learn fast and to weigh on the way we work.
