Schedule Details/Additional Information: Hybrid position within Virtual Primary Care (VPC) and Extended Care (EC) platforms. Must live in the greater Charlotte, NC area.
The role is for three Pediatric Advanced Practice Clinicians to join the Virtual Primary Care and Extended Care multisite practice within the Children’s Primary Care Division. Position is hybrid and involves work on both the VPC and EC platforms.
Responsibilities
Virtual Primary Care (VPC) : Provide care via virtual platform with potential in-office visits; services include nutrition counseling, parent education, virtual house calls, chronic disease management, and behavioral health consultation. In-person care is provided through Extended Care Clinic during evenings/weekends.
Extended Care (EC) : Transition to in-person after-hours care during evenings and weekends; mix of virtual/remote and direct patient care with Extended Care in-person visits 5:00 PM–9:00 PM on weekdays and 8:00 AM–8:00 PM on weekends.
Locations : Charlotte Market only.

Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience in pediatric primary care
Patients seen in person at the Shelby, NC location
Virtual primary care providers will care for patients in NC, SC, and GA
Essential Functions
Performs initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and daily assessments.
Records findings of examinations, assessments and plan of care.
Performs minor office-based medical and/or surgical procedures.
Writes appropriate prescriptions and administers medications.
Orders and interprets daily laboratory and radiology examinations.
Determines treatment plan for patient.
Documents all patient encounters, records observations, interventions, and actions in a medically appropriate manner on the patient’s medical record.
Acts as a patient advocate for the population served.
Attends, participates and contributes to group/practice meetings and development of policies and procedures when requested.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Must have or be eligible for a DEA license. Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state one works. Eligible for prescriptive authority application through the Board of Nursing or Medical Board in SC.
BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA required with expiration > 90 days from start date.
Master’s Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice; RN license; national certification in area of practice; board certifications preferred (ACNP, AGACNP, AGNP, PNP, or PNP-AC).
