Anouck explains more about the role on Instagram here:
Yanaa exists to get athletes eating real food again: chef-cooked, organic meals for endurance sport, made for people sick of sugary gels and ultra-processed bars. We believe the arts and the sciences create magic together - we call it "gastronomie sportive". And it's just the start of our bigger vision, one that reaches into packaging, performance and health. (That means a healthy planet too).
We're young, ambitious, highly creative, and honestly a bit chaotic. After one year, we are already fuelling thousands of athletes. Fast-moving, full of ideas, occasionally disorganised. We need someone who brings structure without slowing us down - who turns good ideas into real momentum, not just more activity.
You'll be Chris's partner-in-crime on the day-to-day leadership of Yanaa - General Manager, brand guardian and commercial lead, all in one seat. Anouck stays closely involved on creative direction and the big brand calls, just at a distance while she's on leave.
What you'll own
- Yanaa's operating rhythm - priorities, owners, calendar, decisions, follow-through. You make the trade-offs so Chris isn't the default answer to every question; when something genuinely needs a founder's call, you bring a diagnosis and a recommendation, not just a problem.
- Business health , together with Chris - revenue, margin, cash, spend, risk. You catch the variances early, not after they've become a crisis.
- Operations end-to-end - supply chain, stock, shipping, customer service, returns, invoices, payments, commercial risk. We've already got tools, automations and checklists in place; make them better, don't reinvent them.
- Build and refine our agentic workflows - using AI to automate the busywork (reporting, reordering, routine ops, customer service triage) so we can focus on the ideas, not the admin.
- Brand and commercial growth - coordinating 360° roll-outs across social, email, CRM, paid, partners, B2B and customer experience. Every launch is a full activation - message, content, offer, site, stock, service, fulfilment.
- The numbers behind the numbers - reading traffic, conversion, margin, CAC, ROAS and retention, and deciding what to scale, fix or kill.
- The team and freelancers - clear briefs, real deadlines, the right amount of follow-up.
- B2B - the operational link to our sales rep for now; owning the full commercial strategy, B2B included, longer-term, export duties and distributor relationships when the moment's right. Not afraid to get out and pitch to a shop when you need to.
What success looks like after 3 months
A shared marketing and commercial calendar with owners and deadlines. A weekly rhythm that doesn't default every decision to the founders. Real visibility on sales, margin, cash and risk. Tighter execution across marketing, e-commerce and fulfilment. A calmer business - with more momentum, not just more activity.
Who you probably are
An experienced or aspiring General Manager, COO, Chief of Staff, or Commercial/Growth lead who's worked in this kind of role at a demanding startup or scale-up - ideally food, consumer, retail or e-commerce. You move fluidly between vision and detail, numbers and decisions, decisions and execution. You're analytical, detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and genuinely energised by turning a bit of chaos into momentum. Whatever you called yourself before doesn't matter much here. You probably love food, sport, people, and our planet.
The practical bits
Contract: maternity cover, 6 months, with a real path to longer-term for the right person.

Location: hybrid, regular time in Annecy, some travel.
Pay: depends on profile; equity possible for the right long-term fit.
Language: Fluent in French and English
(We're serious, Chris is dyslexic, and he won't make it to the bottom of your work experience list...)
