GCP Data Engineer

*Help Shape a Modern GCP Data Platform - Data Engineering Opportunity - 6-12 Month Initial Engagement*

I'm currently seeking to add a newGCP Data Engineer into one of our customer projects, who are currently building and evolving their enterprise-scale data platforms on Google Cloud. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges, working with modern cloud technologies, and having real input into technical architecture and engineering best practices. The role is heavily focused on designing and building scalable data pipelines using services such as:

• BigQuery, Dataflow
• Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL
• Firestore, and NoSQL
• Alongside driving DevOps practices through GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.

In additional to this, see below –

• Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and ingestion frameworks using GCP services such as Dataflow, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloudrun, and No-SQL.
• Architect and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for data workloads using templates, GitLab CI, ensuring automation and compliance with DevOps standards.
• Develop and manage containerized applications for scalable and resilient data services.- Implement data quality, monitoring, and observability frameworks across pipelines.
• Translate complex business requirements into technical architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise data strategy and governance.
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and cost optimization best practices in all GCP solutions.

Beyond the technical side, they're looking for someone who enjoys working closely with stakeholders to turn business requirements into robust, production-ready solutions.
