FWS (Flight Warning System) Experienced System Designer (f/m)

Overview

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Flight Warning System (FWS) Experienced System Designer (f/m) to join our System Cockpit & Avionics Platform Engineering Design department. The role is based in Toulouse, France, where you will be part of a team developing the FWS system on the A350 aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Lead the functional requirements convergence at upstream level
• Deliver technical specifications and System Interfaces documents in coordination with interfaced functions or systems
• Drive the development process according to the expected methodology
• Deliver the textual technical specifications, formal specifications and V&V artefacts
• Contribute to the Verification and Validation activities
• Lead convergence with all stakeholders on findings identified during V&V activities
• Support the safety analysis
• Contribute to In‑Service support (Customer, FAL/MAP, …)
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and increase within the team
• Maintain awareness of potential compliance risks and demonstrate commitment to act with integrity

Qualifications

• Significant professional experience in Flight Warning System (FWS) development
• Engineering degree (or equivalent) with experience in FWS system development
• Keen interest in Cockpit or Avionics Systems development
• Good knowledge of embedded software design
• Analytical and synthesis skills
• Collaborative, team‑player spirit and good organizational skills, with good notions of negotiation and stakeholder management
• Fluent in English
• Experience in collaborative tools (Sysdops, Jira, Google Workplace)
