Fund Controller junior - Private Equity

Edmond de Rothschild Private Equity (EdRPE) is a business line of the Group managing over CHF 3.5 billion of private assets in PE, Infrastructure and PERE. The firm aims to address long‑term environmental and social challenges and manages a portfolio of about 200 experts.

The Role

Position: Fund Controller (Middle Office) – located in Paris. Reports to the Head of Operations. Responsibilities revolve around day‑to‑day fund management, statutory and investor reporting, stakeholder relationship management, and operational support for new vehicle creation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders: investment team, central administration, depositary, legal and tax advisors, auditors, accountants.
• Produce or oversee statutory reporting, investor reporting, board papers, consolidation, NAV calculations, capital account statements, income distribution calculations, tax and VAT returns.
• Cash management, invoicing and provision calculations.
• Ensure records are maintained for entities and underlying assets.
• Oversee services provided by third‑party providers.
• Support transactions for acquisitions, including setting up investment structures, creating new entities, and liaising with investment team to ensure transaction closing.
• Provide operational support for the setup of new vehicles and structures with structuring, legal, tax departments, external advisors and investment teams.

Required Profile and Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years’ experience in the financial industry – ideally as a fund controller in a private assets management company or as an auditor in a Big 4.
• Highly structured, rigorous, motivated, self‑starter with strong work ethics.
• Fluency in English and French.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Query, Power BI).
• Familiarity with eFront, Salesforce and AtomInvest (or similar portfolio management systems) is a strong plus.
• Ability to multi‑task, execute under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Operate with the highest level of integrity, motivation and confidentiality.
• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Management or Audit.
