Functional Test Manager - Validator
Context: As part of the evolution of its information system, the client wishes to ensure the quality of developments before their deployment to production. The service consists of defining, preparing, executing, and managing all functional testing activities, in coordination with the project management team, business stakeholders, and testing teams. It will be carried out using an Agile methodology, with continuous adaptation of the strategy, test scenarios, and test plan throughout the iterations.
The Functional Test Manager is responsible for ensuring the preparation, coordination, and quality of the testing of delivered solutions. They define the testing strategy, produce the necessary documentation, conduct the initial validation campaigns, organize user acceptance testing, and track anomalies until their resolution. Finally, they provide the information required to determine the acceptance of the version.
Activities and Expected Deliverables: 1. Define and update the testing strategy: specify the objectives, scope, resources, tools, entry and exit criteria, and schedule. Deliverables: testing strategy and test plan. 2. Design and prepare the tests: define the scenarios, write the test plans, and prepare the necessary tools and data. Deliverables: test scenarios, test plans, tools, and test data sets. 3. Perform the initial executions: debug the implemented elements, verify the quality of the version intended for user acceptance testing, log the results, report anomalies in the ticketing system, and track their resolution by the development team. Deliverables: completed test plans, anomaly reports, and a daily test and anomaly tracking spreadsheet. 4. Organize and manage the client's user acceptance testing (UAT): schedule sessions, train testers if necessary, support the teams, coordinate communication with the development team, track anomalies, and ensure test plans are kept up to date. Deliverables: presentation or training materials, completed test plans, anomaly reports, and a daily tracking spreadsheet. 5.
