Salary: $79,250.77 – $104,001.10 (Dependent on Experience)

Department Overview: Sworn Officers: 43; Population Served: 22,556

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently certified as a full‑time sworn Law Enforcement Officer, as verified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board
• Two (2) years of continuous service as a full‑time sworn police officer in a municipal, county, university, or State law enforcement agency
• Valid Illinois Driver’s License
• Valid FOID card
• Fewer than two (2) chargeable vehicle accidents within the past 36 months
• No DUI convictions and no loss of license due to a moving violation within the past 36 months
• No felony convictions
• No domestic‑related convictions
• No convictions involving moral turpitude as defined in 65 ILCS 5/10-2.1-6
• Clean disciplinary record, including no sustained violations involving: Excessive force; Dishonesty (lying, stealing); Alcohol or drug impairment on or off duty
