An early-stage AI and IndustrialTech startup is seeking a Founding Full-Stack Engineer to help build the intelligence layer powering the future of factory operations.

Operating at the intersection of artificial intelligence, industrial data, factory processes and knowledge management, the business is developing an AI-powered platform that captures operational knowledge from videos, documents, machinery and factory teams before transforming it into structured procedures and intelligent workflows.

This is an opportunity to become the company's first core engineering hire, working directly with the CTO to build production AI products whilst helping shape the architecture, product direction and future engineering team.

The Opportunity

As Founding Full-Stack Engineer, you will take significant ownership of the company's customer-facing platform, backend systems and applied AI functionality.

The position is approximately 70% backend and 30% frontend, with Python forming the core of the backend environment alongside TypeScript and React on the frontend.

This is a highly hands‑on position where you will build complete features from initial customer problem through to production deployment. You will also contribute to architectural decisions, translate factory requirements into product functionality and help recruit and potentially lead future engineers as the team grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build production backend services and APIs using Python
• Develop customer-facing functionality using TypeScript and React
• Build voice-agent pipelines and supporting infrastructure
• Develop AI agents, tools and multi‑step workflows
• Help create a decision engine and contextual graph connecting factory data
• Structure information from manuals, machinery, user activity and operational processes
• Own features from initial product discussion through to production deployment
• Work with Supabase, PostgreSQL and cloud‑based infrastructure
• Integrate applied AI functionality into reliable customer-facing products
• Collaborate directly with the CTO, founders and industrial customers
• Contribute to technical architecture and wider engineering decisions
• Help establish development standards and engineering best practices
• Support the recruitment and development of the future engineering team
• Occasionally visit customer factories to understand operational requirements

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years' professional software engineering experience
• Experience designing and building backend services and APIs
• Full‑stack capability with TypeScript, React or a comparable modern frontend framework
• Exposure to applied AI, LLM applications, RAG or agentic systems
• Experience working with cloud‑based applications and infrastructure
• Strong understanding of software architecture and system design
• Ability to own features across backend, frontend, data and deployment
• Comfort translating ambiguous customer problems into technical solutions
• Strong product judgement and a pragmatic, hands‑on engineering mindset

Highly Desirable

• Previous founding engineer, CTO or technical lead experience
• Early‑stage or zero‑to‑one startup experience
• Production experience building AI agents and workflows
• Knowledge graphs, context graphs or connected data models
• Tool calling, workflow orchestration or multi‑agent systems
• Experience with Supabase and PostgreSQL
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools
• Industrial, manufacturing or connected-equipment experience
• Experience working directly with customers or operational users

Additional Information

• Office-based role in Paris
• Five days per week onsite, with occasional ad‑hoc flexibility
• Candidates relocating from elsewhere in France or Europe will be considered
• English‑speaking environment
• French beneficial but not essential
• Existing European work authorisation strongly preferred
