French Language Specialist (Android Device) - Freelance AI Trainer Project

Location: France

We are seeking a French language expert to support large‑scale language model training using Android devices. Your expertise will help to create high‑quality training data for AI systems that provide education, research, and communication tools for French speakers worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Engage with language models on a variety of scenarios, testing French grammar, syntax, morphology, semantics, phonetics, and pragmatics.
• Challenge models on dialectal variation, formal versus colloquial language, orthography, translation accuracy, semantic ambiguity, and cultural context.
• Document failure modes, capture reproducible error traces, and suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.
• Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness of model outputs.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D. in French language, linguistics, or a closely related field.
• Experience in peer‑reviewed publications, translation, or linguistic analysis projects.
• Strong communication skills with a metacognitive approach to “showing your work.”

Compensation

• Pay range: $6–$65 per hour, determined by experience, expertise, and geographic location.

Contractual terms

• Contract based; remote work.
• Contractor must provide a secure computer, Android device, and high‑speed internet.
