French Content and Growth Associate

TL;DR
We’re hiring a bilingual (French/English), France-based content associate to own and grow Hallow’s French-language app – creating and curating original prayer content, and overseeing end-to-end content operations. This role also includes 4-5 months of maternity leave coverage for French marketing, spanning lifecycle marketing, social media, and influencer coordination. It’s a rare opportunity to combine theology, writing, content leadership, and growth in a mission-driven product reaching French‑speakers worldwide.
What You’ll Do
- Direct all French-language content operations and build a comprehensive content library; create thousands of hours of original prayer content for our community across the French-speaking world, coordinating closely with audio production, engineering, voiceover, translation, and external partners.
- Acquire, translate, and write prayers; research prayers and prayer traditions from around the world, translate from English into French, and write original prayers in French. A strong background in theology and writing is essential.
- Work with French-speaking guest contributors; reach out to speakers, authors, theologians, religious, and other contributors to gather guest content such as prayer sessions and Bible stories. Attend live recordings (in person or online) as needed.
- Own the content operations and development cycle end‑to‑end; support all aspects of launching content in the app, including negotiating contract terms, sending payments to guest contributors, conducting quality assurance (QA), booking recording studios, and managing the placement and release of content.
- Drive toward key goals; be accountable to the Head of International for hitting key performance indicators (KPIs) across content production, community retention, and partnerships. Set quarterly goals for the French content team.
- Collaborate with Growth and Product teams; occasionally work with the Growth team to provide input on ads, messaging, and emails, and with the Product team as they continue building and refining the app in French.
What We’re Looking For

- Bilingual (French & English): native French speaker, fluent English speaker.
- Location: based in France with occasional travel for audio recordings; willing to work overlap with U.S. time zones.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience translating content from English into French.
- Communication: expert communicator and conversationalist; able to negotiate and build relationships in French and English. Bonus: experience with influencer marketing, partnerships, or relationships with the Catholic Church in the region.
