Freelance/ Part-Time Mobile Developer

Currently we are searching for a Freelance/Part-Time Mobile Developer to fulfill an immediate full-time vacancy. This position includes a 6‑month part‑time commitment, ideally dedicating 20 hrs/week (this is flexible!) and is able to come onsite for weekly check‑ins.

Responsibilities

• Complete buildout of Shopify based mobile app and push live to Android and Apple stores.
• Work independently for a fantastic, creative, local Birmingham business with big dreams!
• Complete architecture and integrations required for remaining app functionalities.
• Tech Stack: React Native, Expo, Express Node API, GraphQL, Shopify API and database, MongoDB.

Requirements

• 3.5+ years of experience mobile development using React Native (ideally involving Expo package) and heavy use of APIs like GraphQL and Express Node API.
• Previous experience integrating a mobile app with an existing Shopify database and POS.
• Bonus - previous experience working with Expo or any previous payment processing/setting up small biz retail type apps.
