Freelance Accounting Manager

• Provide strategic and operational oversight of financial reporting and projects across Belgium, Luxembourg, France and the Netherlands
• Ensure the quality, reliability and compliance of financial information
• Develop a forward-looking perspective for the Western Europe cluster
• Oversee a team of accounting experts
• Lead and develop a team of five accounting staff
• Strengthen team capabilities, drive performance and foster collaboration
• Lead month-end and year-end financial closing processes
• Ensure timely, accurate and compliant reporting of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow data
• Serve as local point of contact for tax, legal and credit management activities
• Ensure transfer pricing and intercompany compliance
• Act as Compliance Ambassador and safeguard accounting integrity and financial governance
• Contribute to project design and coordinate central and local stakeholders
• Drive harmonization of financial processes across the cluster
• Deliver pragmatic, value-driven solutions to operational needs

Requirements

• Proven knowledge of accounting, tax and legal matters in an international context
• Education in finance and accounting, preferably CFA, CPA, FA or equivalent
• 5+ years of leadership experience
• Excellent people management skills
• Strong business acumen and commercial mindset
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively
• Experience in a multinational, multi-location and multilingual environment
• Comfortable operating within a matrix organisation with diverse stakeholders
• Excellent command of English and French, written and spoken, at C1 level
• Professional, meticulous and collaborative communication style
