Job Description Summary
The role provides leadership and support to business operations to ensure compliance with all aspects of the company's internal compliance and external regulations. Ensures that appropriate mechanisms are in place to comply with industry‑specific and other laws and regulations and adhere to company programs and practices. Has knowledge of best practices and how their field fits in with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market. Roles and Responsibilities
Being an active business partner to the business and leadership team, continually working to identify strategic opportunities to further a strong compliance culture, identify and reduce enterprise risks.
Policy/Strategy Execution: Uses in-depth knowledge and analytical thinking to drive proactive compliance leadership and engagement to ensure that business colleagues are responsible for compliance with policies, processes, controls and other initiatives.
Training: Identifies training needs and supports the compliance training program on relevant topics (company standards, industry‑specific requirements including, without limitation, Indirect Third Parties and interactions with healthcare professionals, and other applicable regulations).
Resource for colleagues: Drive proactive compliance leadership and engagement to ensure that business colleagues are responsible for compliance with policies, processes, controls and other initiatives. Explains the information; develops skills to bring team members to a consensus on topics in the field.
Problem Solving: Uses some judgment and has the ability to come up with different solutions outside of the set parameters to solve more complicated everyday problems. Has the ability to prioritize information for data analysis. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses several external internal and limited sources outside of their team to make decisions.
Due Diligence: Oversees due diligence of independent third‑party standard risk and contributes to additional regional escalation in the event of an identified alert.
Leads internal risk review boards and operational mechanisms in conjunction with Regional Compliance Manager.
Risk Management: Operates with a degree of autonomy and in conjunction with the Regional Compliance Officer to lead internal risk review committees and operational mechanisms.
Reporting: Reports and aligns with the Regional Compliance Officer on actions focused on promoting compliance culture and risk management. Coordinate with the global compliance team and relevant business owners to support GE HealthCare’s open reporting system, regular monitoring and audits of compliance areas and support driving requisite improvements/resolutions for issues identified.
Qualifications
Experience: This role requires solid compliance experience in the healthcare industry, including (a) identifying and resolving compliance issues quickly and effectively; (b) ability to make timely and informed calls with proven ability to drive operational excellence; and (c) developing and implementing compliance policies, processes and procedures.
Proven ability to influence different levels of the company and help drive sustainable cultural and organizational change.
Strong grasp of codes of conduct, business ethics policies and current compliance practices and relevant industry standards.
Strong business acumen, ability to detect emerging compliance and industry trends and develop appropriate responses.
Professional team player with a proven track record of building impactful networks and navigating the matrix structure.
Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong leadership presence and the ability to impactfully interact and collaborate with diverse stakeholders from all levels of the organization.
Problem Solving: Ability to analyze data and solve problems.
