Brunel are looking to recruit an FPSO Lead Rotating Engineer with relevant detailed design and procurement experience gained in the Oil & Gas sector. This 12-month renewable contract is to work for a leading Oil & Gas Operating company and you will initially be office based in Paris, France, for 1-2 years. You will then move with the project to Singapore (18 months) and afterwards to South Korea (18 months).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the Rotating equipment scope and deliverables of the project during the detailed design and procurement phases.
- Supervise FPSO EPC Contractor design of relevant discipline and aid/support to pre-commissioning and commissioning/start-up preparation teams.
- Ensure FPSO Rotating equipment and design consistency, optimization, operability and flexibility which implies interfaces management and leadership towards other packages.
- Ensure that FPSO EPC design of rotating discipline complies with S.O.R., contract documentation, schedule, budget and safety practices.
- Provide a close supervision and control of the Rotating equipment purchase orders execution by the main EPC CONTRACTOR, including relevant missions and visits to the Vendors and attendance to pre-FATs and i-FATs.
- Avoid FPSO EPC Contractor stand-by/delays by prompt response to engineering queries or/and request for waiver (if any) and unexpected technical issues, by a proactive and proficient approach.
- Minimize design change during the execution of the detailed design thus securing the schedule.
- Promote & comply in all activities with applicable safety instructions and other company HSE rules.
Requirements:
- Engineering degree, preferably Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Extensive rotating equipment experience within the Oil & Gas industry, preferably on FPSO, offshore or deep-water developments.
- Full project lifecycle experience with specific experience in detailed engineering and procurement.
- Experience managing EPC Contractors, equipment vendors and multidisciplinary interfaces.
- Proven experience reviewing and approving engineering deliverables, technical queries and vendor documentation.
- Familiarity with international design standards and industry codes applicable to offshore facilities.
- Proficient English language skills; French would be considered advantageous.
- Willingness to undertake international assignments in France, Singapore and South Korea as required by the project.
