Responsibilities
- Lead the France LBE (Last Best Estimate) process, ensuring forecast accuracy and alignment with CDR (Commercial Demand Review).
- Business‑partner with stakeholders to define forecast accuracy goals and targets across France mainland and overseas.
- Lead FP&A activities for France, including maintenance of LBE submissions, monthly closing, and daily sales reporting.
- Issue strategic recommendations to optimize commercial positions: channel profitability, products/partnerships, new product implementation, and end‑of‑life decisions.
- Ensure internal controls are applied in compliance with Abbott’s standards, policies and procedures.
Accounting and Closing
- Manage month‑end close (monthly, quarterly, yearly) in collaboration with financial teams and commercial stakeholders.
- Prepare and validate accruals and commissions related to sales (gross‑to‑net, government rebates, pharmacy chain commissions) and SG&A spend.
- Prepare and validate accruals for bonus/tax and support the controller on related reviews.
- Review and validate journal entries for B2B/B2C pharmacy sales with the financial team.
- Ensure bookings are properly recorded and match expectations.
Reporting and Forecasting
- Perform gap analysis between actuals and forecasts by P&L line and balance sheet line.
- Identify risks/opportunities, develop mitigation plans, and deliver performance for sales and margin within forecast accuracy targets.
- Prepare and validate reporting packages on actuals vs. forecasts for P&L and balance sheet, focusing on sales, gross margin, DSO, and other key metrics.
- Prepare presentation decks for S&OP, Commercial Demand Review, and LBE meetings.
- Build forecasting packages in DODECA and reporting templates for EMEA/Global.
- Work on alternative scenarios to assess financial impacts and handle resubmission/recycling per guidelines.
Budgetary Controls and Efficiency
- Track forecast accuracy and identify opportunities for sales/margin growth.
- Review spend and propose yearly action plans to reduce costs, in partnership with Procurement.
- Optimize cash flow management focusing on ageing customer balances, doubtful customers, DPO, and DSO.
Recommendation on Strategy
- Support profitability analysis to design optimized commercial offers for hospitals and pharmacies.
- Generate recommendations to orient strategy toward the most profitable/higher potential business areas.
Internal Controls
- Support and relay best practices for internal controls via training and ad‑hoc checks, especially on purchasing, no‑charge products, and samples.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or above in Finance, Cost Control, Audit, or related field.
- 13–20 years of finance experience in multinational companies.
- High numeracy skills and strong organizational and delegation abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Ability to handle pressured timelines calmly and coach a direct report.
- Good level of English.
Role based in Rungis. The position reports to the ADC (Diabetes Care) Controller.
