Founding Engineer / Technical Product Partner for Girafe (Paris preferred)
We are looking for an innovative and experienced developer to help take Girafe incrementally from an early public-facing demonstrator to a more ambitious product that supports our emerging offer for territorial agencies .
Girafe is a civic-tech project developed between Paris and Miami. It aims to help local governments and organizations better read, activate, and coordinate their local ecosystem by identifying and transforming signals — needs, ideas, data, and resources — into concrete collaborations . More specifically, we see Girafe as a tool that can help territorial agencies implement their mission and mandate in a more operational, visible, and responsive way.
Our vision is a territorial coordination engine with a frictionless input layer, where users can drop in raw material — ideas, needs, notes, documents, questions — and have it structured into meaningful cards, signals, and early-stage matches with those who need it, can support it, or can help develop it further.
Key issues you might find interesting
- radical frictionless input
- modular card-based logic for input, structuring, and matchmaking
- thoughtful use of AI, with awareness of fundamental ethical and data-safety issues
- contribution to the development of a more sophisticated territorial interface together with our UI designer and early institutional feedback
We are therefore not looking for a standard freelance executor, but for someone who could begin with a paid, scoped mission, and potentially evolve into a stronger long-term technical role if the fit is right.
Paris or France preferred.
If this speaks to you, message me and I’ll be happy to share more about the product direction and current priorities.
