Founding Engineer Full Stack

VistIQ.ai is building an end-to-end AI investment copilot for Venture Capital funds, Private Equity firms, and Family Offices in Europe and US.

The platform uses LLMs and AI agents to automate the most critical investment workflows: deal analysis, portfolio monitoring, valuation support, and investor reporting. Vistiq.ai replaces fragmented tools and manual processes with a single AI-native intelligence layer that aggregates financial, legal, and operational data from non-public portfolios and turns it into actionable insights.

The market opportunity is large and still largely underserved by AI. Portfolio and fund management software for private markets is growing rapidly, yet only a small fraction of funds use AI for high-impact tasks such as scoring, valuation, risk assessment, and decision support.

VistIQ.ai’s ambition is to become the reference AI platform for modern investment teams, enabling faster, more informed decisions through automation, prediction, and continuous learning.

The Role

As aFounding Engineer Full Stack , you will be one of the first technical hires at Vistiq.ai and play a central role in shaping both the product and the technical foundations of the company.

This is ahighly hands-on role focused on building, shipping and iterating fast.

You will work across the full stack (frontend, backend, AI integrations) and use LLMs, especiallyClaude and cursor , as daily development copilots to dramatically increase delivery speed and iteration cycles.

You will collaborate directly with the founders, take ownership of major product areas, and progressively help structure the engineering function as the company grows.

What You Will Do

• 1 - Build and ship the product
  • Own and evolve the existing codebase, initially built with an external partner
  • Design, build and ship end-to-end features: frontend, backend, data and AI
  • Move fast from idea to production, with a strong focus on real user impact
  • Integrate and orchestrate LLMs (Claude, OpenAI, others) into core product workflows
  • Build prompt orchestration, agent-based systems and retrieval pipelines
  • Ensure AI features are reliable, observable, explainable and cost-controlled
• 3 - Full stack ownership
  • Work directly on frontend when needed (UX matters)
  • Build robust backend systems for data ingestion, workflows and analytics
  • Design APIs, data models and scalable infrastructure pragmatically
• 4 - Early engineering foundations
  • Set lightweight coding standards, CI/CD and deployment practices
  • Make architectural decisions with a strong bias for speed and simplicity
  • Help prepare future technical hires as the team grows

The current stack includes:

• Frontend: React
• Backend: Node.js, with strong openness to Python / FastAPI for AI and data components

We areopen to evolving the stack if it improves speed, reliability or developer productivity. This role comes with real technical autonomy.

Who We Are Looking For

This role is not about checking every box. We care aboutbuilder mindset and execution speed .

The ideal candidate:

• 5–8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong full stack background, comfortable moving across frontend and backend
• Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs into real products
• Actively uses AI tools (Claude, cursor, GPT, etc.) to write, refactor and ship code faster
• Has built or significantly contributed to an MVP or early-stage product
• Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration
• Motivated by ownership, impact and product outcomes

You do not need to be a finance expert. Domain knowledge can be learned. Velocity, Product sense and execution matter more.
