Company Description
Crisscross, a startup headquartered at Station F, is building the AI-powered B2B vendor discovery platform: a global taxonomy of vendors, capabilities, categories, and markets that organizes the $6T professional-services market and helps buyers move from scattered research to expert vendor matching using natural language.
The larger opportunity is to solve one of the biggest unsolved problems in the $40B global B2B advertising market: knowing which companies are actively in-market for vendors. Crisscross is being built to own that moment.
Role Description
We are looking for a founding Adtech Engineer / Technical Partner to help build the platform foundation for a new kind of B2B advertising and data company.
The first product is vendor discovery, but it must be architected from day one to capture the behavioral signals that indicate vendor selection in motion.
Every category search, vendor profile visit, comparison, shortlist, RFI, repeat visit, and contact request can become part of a proprietary data asset that helps advertisers identify companies actively evaluating providers.
You would help shape and build:
- Behavioral event capture and signal taxonomy
- Buyer journey, shortlist, and RFI/contact workflows
- Sponsored placements and early advertiser monetization logic
- Measurement, attribution, and audience-data foundations
- Scalable backend and platform architecture
- Privacy-safe roadmap for firmographic enrichment, identity, matchback, and audience activation
- Product and API foundations that can evolve into a scalable B2B advertising platform
The AI/data side of the vendor-intelligence engine is being developed in parallel. Depending on your interests and bandwidth, this role can also take meaningful full-stack ownership of the MVP product surface.
Qualifications
You may be a strong fit if you have experience in one or more of the following:
- Adtech, programmatic, RTB, DSPs, SSPs, retail media, or campaign infrastructure
- Event pipelines, high-scale backend systems, Kafka, streaming, APIs, or data platforms
- Audience targeting, identity, measurement, attribution, CRM matchback, or clean rooms
- Sponsored listings, marketplace monetization, lead-generation products, or advertiser dashboards
- Privacy-safe activation, consent, first-party data, or customer data platforms
- Building practical zero-to-one products in startup environments
You do not need to have done every part of this before. More important are strong systems judgment, product instinct, comfort with ambiguity, and the ambition to help build something category-defining.
Compensation Structure
This is a founder-track, equity-based opportunity at the pre-funding stage — not a conventional salaried employee role at the outset.
The right person would receive meaningful equity with standard vesting, based on time commitment, scope of ownership, execution responsibility, and long‑term role. The position is expected to become paid after financing.
