Formulation Scientist
As a Formulation Scientist, you will be involved in the formulation and the stability of the drug product and the production intermediaries:
Responsibilities
- Work on the formulation of the existing production batches (liquid formulations).
- Develop different formulations depending on the application (spray dried, encapsulation).
- Conduct stability studies to ensure the quality of the different products. A key priority will be ensuring the stability of phages in the field, especially at higher temperatures.
- Evaluate the impact of the existing formulation and other products used commonly in the field.
- Explore the addition of adjuvants (such as prebiotics, probiotics, vitamins, or others) to the established drug product to support animal wellbeing.
- Benchmark and buy the appropriate equipment depending on the strategy chosen to develop the formulation laboratory.
- Collaborate with CDMOs (formulation platform).
- Write the appropriate deliverables (regulatory documents, protocols etc) and present the results.
Qualifications
PhD / engineer in biochemistry, galenic or any related fields or a Pharmaceutical degree (Bioindustry).
At least 5 years of experience in similar work fields.
Experience with phages is a plus.
Proven ability to manage and lead projects.
Familiarity with the regulatory aspect of the field.
Proven ability to independently assess situations and drive strategic decisions.
Team player with a proactive mindset and hands‑on attitude.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
