The company also operates an industrial site in France, located on the Carling chemical platform (Moselle), dedicated to the development and production of its innovative ingredients.
The Role
As part of the launch of our mycoprotein-based food ingredient production activities, we are looking for our future Quality and Food Safety Manager .
Your primary mission will be to develop, implement, and continuously improve the site's Food Safety Management System (FSMS) to ensure product safety, regulatory compliance, and adherence to food safety certification requirements.
You will work closely with Site Management and will be supported by an external Quality and Food Safety consultant in the development and continuous improvement of the FSMS.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and continuously improve the site's Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
- Define and monitor Quality and Food Safety objectives.
- Develop and maintain HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP systems.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and certification standards, particularly FSSC 22000 .
- Prepare for and support internal and certification audits.
- Supervise laboratory activities and quality control of raw materials, in-process products, and finished products.
- Ensure product quality and approve product release.
- Lead non-conformity management as well as corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor Quality and Food Safety performance indicators.
- Train and raise awareness among employees on Quality and Food Safety requirements.
- Supervise and support the Laboratory Technician.
- Contribute to Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) initiatives and foster a strong safety culture across the site.
Your Profile
- Minimum Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Quality, Food Safety, Food Science, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is essential .
- Knowledge and experience in:
- FSSC 22000 and ISO management systems;
- HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP methodologies;
- Auditing and non-conformity management;
- Risk assessment and problem-solving methodologies;
- Drafting procedures, work instructions, and quality documentation;
- Fluent English (TOEIC score of 800 or equivalent).
- Additional knowledge in Occupational Health & Safety and CLP/REACH regulations would be considered an advantage.
