A vacancy for a Maintenance & Connectivity Systems Test Leader (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse. You will join the Maintenance, Connectivity & Data Testing Team.

Who are we?

The mission of our Department is at the heart of Systems Engineering: it essentially consists in testing new or updated avionics systems, in various conditions, using a variety of test means (from partial rig to "large scale" simulator), in order to ensure that they can be certified and that they will be fully mature when they enter into service. Our team in 1VVAD is a group of 24 engineers with very diverse profiles (age, gender, background, culture) in charge of testing the Maintenance and Connectivity functions, such as Aircraft Condition Monitoring (ACMS), Aircraft Data Collection (ADC), Data Loading or Centralized Maintenance. Those functions are at the cornerstone of the maintenance operations and fleet management for our Customers, that's why our work is essential to the satisfaction of Airbus operators worldwide.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Preparing Lab and Flight Tests campaigns for Maintenance systems in coordination with the Design Office, the subcontractors and other relevant stakeholders;
• Ensuring coordination with the subcontractors and follow Test campaigns progress;
• Providing Lab and Flight Tests Results to the Design Office & to Programs;
• Performing regular supplier monitoring in order to ensure the supplier V&V activities are consistent with the testing strategy;
• Identifying opportunities for test automation to reduce lab test lead times and increase product maturity;

Our activities are transverse across programs, and you will report functionally to the A350 & A380 Maintenance & Flight Ops Work Package Leader, and operationally to the head of Maintenance, Connectivity & Data.

You will be in interface with numerous stakeholders: Programs, Flight tests teams, Design offices, MAP, AIRBUS IT support, Customer Services and Airlines.

Required Skills:

Your profile would look like this:

• Academic background in Aeronautics or IT, able to connect people across functions and result-oriented, with a continuous challenging and lean approach;
• Avionics systems knowledge;
• Knowledge in IT and / or data science would be a strong asset;
• A good understanding of airlines operations would be a plus;
• Open-minded, autonomous, technically curious and hands-on, with good communication and synthesis skills;
• Advanced level of English and an intermediate level of French are mandatory.
