Flight Controls Manager

With a rapidly growing team and ambitious programme milestones ahead, they are looking to appoint an Flight Controls Systems Manager to lead a critical function within their organisation.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in Flight Control Systems (FCS) development
• 10+ years of working experience in aircraft development programmes
• Fluency in English, French language is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams while remaining hands‑on
• Strong understanding of integrated aircraft systems and system architecture
• Experience working on or with Fly‑by‑Wire (FBW) systems
• Comfortable operating in multidisciplinary, high‑complexity environments

Responsibilities

• Leading the development and integration of Flight Control Systems (FCS) across the aircraft
• Managing and growing a multidisciplinary team covering:
  • Actuation systems
  • Driving system‑level architecture decisions with a strong understanding of overall aircraft development
• Providing technical leadership and oversight across the full development lifecycle
• Supporting coordination across engineering disciplines within a complex aircraft programme
• Ensuring alignment with programme milestones, certification requirements, and performance targets
