Job Description
A position of Flight Control Testing Engineer (m/f) has just opened within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse. You will join a team within the Flight and Integration Tests center, in charge of Flight Control integration testing and flight tests analyses on all Airbus programmes, including R&T. The majority of our testing activities is performed on laboratory test benches and aircraft integration simulators. The jobholder will also contribute to shaping the future of testing through more innovative ways of working and digitalisation, with the objective of increasing the maturity of our products, focusing on high added‑value activities while keeping safety first.
Collaboration with our main stakeholders in the Design Office, Programmes and Flight Tests fosters a rich and dynamic environment in which to develop.
Your main tasks & responsibilities
- Analyzing, challenging and harmonizing test orders/requests in accordance with the test strategy.
- Defining in detail the test method and means (simulation, configuration of the bench and test tools, etc.) for ground tests (virtual tests, bench tests, ground tests on aircraft) in accordance with data provided by the test strategy.
- Defining the measurement plans with the instrumentation specialists for the flight tests.
- Ensuring the quality of tests on external deliveries.
- Defining and writing test procedures and test cases.
- Contributing to the development of the flight test program.
- Managing the use of the telemetry room to perform real‑time analysis and support flight testing.
- Validating measurements and test results.
- Reporting identified and classified issues in associated reporting tools and/or with agreed project/development reports (including entries in reporting tools, quick notes, test reports, qualification/certification, etc.).
- Sharing test results and conclusions with the Design Office.
- Performing the verification for the experimental flight approval.
- Contributing to the development, renewal and strategy for the test means and the test process.
- Supporting the achievement of integration maturity according to plan.
- Innovation & continuous improvement: Join collaborative team projects to push the technical boundaries of testing (e.g., digital tools and processes, big‑data analytics and automation).
Required skills

We are looking for a proactive engineer, ideally with a 5‑year degree in Aeronautics, having a minimum of 3 years of experience and result‑oriented attitude. The candidate shall be open‑minded, with good communication and synthesis skills, and a strong team spirit.
- Knowledge of flight mechanics.
- Knowledge and/or experience of testing systems.
- Knowledge and/or experience of analysing data.
- Relevant experience in embedded system design or computer science (any relevant experience is considered).
- Python coding skills are a plus.
- Data science skills are a plus.
- Advanced level of English and intermediate level of French are mandatory.
