The Role
Working within the Aircraft Controls team, you will take ownership of the selection, development and integration of electromechanical actuators (EMA) used across flight control and ground steering systems.
This is a highly cross-functional role involving aircraft architecture, supplier management, system integration, certification and flight test support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support aircraft-level architecture trade studies alongside Systems Architects
- Define power requirements and installation constraints for flight control actuation systems
- Develop technical specifications covering
- Manage and coordinate actuator suppliers
- Develop actuator and system integration test procedures
- Support certification documentation and compliance activities
- Support production, ground testing and flight test programmes
About You
- Degree qualified in Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics or similar
- 5+ years of aerospace experience within design, systems engineering or maintenance environments
- Strong knowledge of electromechanical actuator (EMA) technologies
- Understanding of
- Experience working with CAD and simulation tools
- Knowledge of scientific computing and modelling methods
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams
