We are seeking an experienced Regional Finance Systems Advisor to act as the bridge between Finance, Business Users, and IT teams across the European region.

n.This is a highly functional role rather than a technical Oracle configuration position. The successful candidate will work closely with finance stakeholders, challenge and validate business requirements, assess process impacts, support change management activities, and ensure business needs are translated into clear functional specification(s).

The role requires a strong finance background combined with Oracle Finance experience and the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Key Responsibilities Act as the primary liaison between Finance, Business Process Owners (BPOs), Key Users, and IT teams.
  • Gather, analyse, challenge, and validate business requirements.
  • Determine whether requirements should be addressed through system changes or process improvements.
  • Assess the impact of proposed changes on finance processes, accounting structures, and regional operations.
  • Work with finance stakeholders to define and document detailed functional specifications.
  • Ensure changes are reviewed and validated by relevant Business Process Owners when business processes are impacted.
  • Support testing activities, including coordinating and guiding key users through UAT and business validation.
  • Deliver training and support to regional finance users.
  • Participate actively in change management initiatives across the region.
  • Take ownership of initiatives from requirements gathering through to implementation and business adoption.
  • Support the standardisation of finance processes across multiple European countries.
  • Work closely with regional and global teams to ensure alignment of finance systems and processes.

Required Experience Essential:

Minimum 7 years' experience (10-15 years preferred).

  • Strong finance/accounting background.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, including:
  • Accounts Payable
  • Invoicing processes
  • Debit and Credit concepts
  • Financial controls and reporting
  • Experience working with Oracle Finance systems, preferably:
  • Oracle E-Business Suite (R12)
  • Experience working directly with finance business users.
  • Proven ability to write high-quality functional specifications.
  • Experience supporting testing, user adoption, and change management activities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to challenge requirements constructively and influence decision-making.
  • Ability to say "no" when appropriate while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
