Who are we recruiting for

Our client is a fast-growing renewable energy platform with a strong presence across European markets, focused on the development, acquisition, and operation of clean energy and storage assets. Backed by a leading infrastructure investor and supported by long-term institutional capital, the business is exceptionally well positioned to continue scaling its footprint across multiple geographies and technologies.

With a rapidly expanding pipeline and a clear build‑out strategy, the platform is playing a key role in the energy transition, combining financial expertise with deep sector knowledge to support complex investment decisions and portfolio growth.

What will you be doing

  • Build and maintain complex financial models for renewable energy assets and portfolios, including greenfield, brownfield, and operational projects.
  • Support live transactions (buy‑side and sell‑side) through detailed valuation, scenario analysis, and sensitivity modelling.
  • Analyse and stress‑test key assumptions including wholesale power prices, generation volumes, CAPEX/OPEX, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Develop and manage debt sizing, return analysis, and capital structure modelling.
  • Work closely with M&A, structured finance, investment, and asset management teams to translate commercial and technical inputs into robust financial models.
  • Review, challenge, and improve third‑party models provided by advisers, banks, and partners.
  • Contribute to the standardisation and continuous improvement of internal modelling frameworks and best‑practice templates.
  • Produce clear, high‑quality outputs to support Investment Committee papers and senior decision‑making.
  • Act as a trusted internal modelling expert, able to clearly explain complex outputs in a commercial and accessible way.

Are you the ideal candidate

  • 5+ years of experience in project finance, infrastructure finance, corporate finance, or transaction modelling.
  • Background in a top‑tier advisory environment (Big 4, investment bank, boutique infrastructure advisory, or specialist modelling firm).
  • Proven ability to build complex financial models from scratch (not just adapt templates).
  • Strong experience in renewable energy modelling, ideally including solar and/or wind projects.
  • Exposure to battery energy storage systems (BESS) is a strong advantage.
  • Experience working with wholesale / merchant power price assumptions and integrating them into project and portfolio models.
  • Strong Excel skills with a focus on best‑practice modelling standards (auditability, structure, checks, scenarios, sensitivities).
  • Ability to review and enhance external models from advisers, lenders, and JV partners.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical modelling outputs into clear commercial insights.
  • Collaborative, low‑ego team player comfortable working across multicultural teams in Paris, Milan, and Madrid.
  • Motivated by platform growth and open to evolving into broader investment roles over time.

What’s in it

  • A central role within a fast‑growing renewable energy platform with a clear expansion roadmap
  • Exposure to complex, high‑value transactions across multiple European markets and technologies
  • A highly collaborative and growing central modelling team
  • Direct interaction with senior investment and leadership stakeholders
  • Strong potential for progression into broader investment, M&A, or structured finance roles over the medium term
