Job Summary
The Finance Manager will report to the Plant Controller and Regional Controller on a "dotted line" basis, manage a local team and work closely with shared services and other divisions. The individual will operate in a fast‑paced environment, collaborating with Finance & Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Treasury, Tax, HRBR and other business functions.
Salary Range
€65,000-69,000
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the local accounting team (develop skills & knowledge).
- Work closely with shared service team to ensure data accuracy and provide guidance and process improvements.
- Oversee day‑to‑day accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and financial reporting.
- Manage cash flow, monitor expenses, and identify areas for cost reduction.
- Manage month‑end and year‑end processes, including the preparation of journals and validation of accounts; prepare and analyze monthly financial statements in local and US GAAP.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with Local / US GAAP accounting standards, internal control policies, and procedures defined at National, Regional & Global level.
- Prepare and manage accurate and timely tax (VAT), customs and social filings.
- Work collaboratively with other teams to support business requirements.
- Liaise with auditors (external/internal), tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
- Perform and support any ad‑hoc financial analysis and projects, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in accounting or a relevant field.
- Proven experience in finance, accounting or related role (5‑10 years).
- Advanced knowledge of French accounting and tax legislation.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Experience in an industrial and international environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in French and English; ability to explain financial concepts to non‑financial stakeholders.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates strong intellectual curiosity and an open mindset, proactively seeking new perspectives and innovative solutions.
- Shows the ability to adapt quickly to evolving business needs, navigate ambiguity, and make sound decisions in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
