Financial Crime Compliance Officer – Advisory

You are going to join the Legal & Compliance Department of Bank of China Paris Branch as Financial Compliance Officer - Middle Level within the Advisory team.
The main mission of the Compliance Officer within the Advisory team is to participate in the execution of the FCC BAU activities of the Bank and to contribute to the improvement of the compliance internal processes.
You will participates in the implementation and proper application of French legislation and regulations ensuring the robustness of the financial crime compliance framework of the bank particularly when it comes to advising business lines on future relationships or operations, undertaking 2nd level controls and supervising the overall KY process.
Your main tasks will be:- Support business teams by providing expertise and advice on AML/CFT and Embargos matters;
- Carry out second-level FCC controls on various topics (KYC, cheques, correspondent banking activities, asset freeze, PPE, etc.) according to the control plan of the department;
- Contribute to the analysis, communication and training on financial security regulations;
- Participate in the implementation of AML/CFT and Sanctions/Embargos regulations in the internal compliance framework (policies and procedures, modus operandi, systems, processes);
- Participate in the preparation of reports for the head office or supervisory authorities;
- Contribute to the deployment and improvement of compliance tools;
- Participate in the development and delivery of FCC training courses;
- Contribute to the organization of compliance committees;
- Any other FCC or transversal task requested by the management according to the Department’s roadmap.
- University education with a degree in Banking, Finance, Compliance or Law. Professional certification such as ACAMS or AMF is a plus.
- Minimum 4 years (off-internship and off-apprenticeship) in an FCC control and/or compliance function within a bank, financial institution or consulting firm participating in missions related to AML/CFT and/or Sanctions.
- Fluent in French and in English with excellent writing and speaking skills, Chinese (Mandarin) is a plus.
