Financial Controller - French Perimeter

We are looking for a forward‑thinking, experienced finance professional to own the financial controlling of Alan's French entities. You will be part of our Financial Controlling team within Financial Reporting, responsible for ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting and driving action from the numbers.

Responsibilities

• Own the financial reporting of your entities, including monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reviews, variance analysis, commentary and audit readiness.
• Ensure figures are accurate, well‑documented and ready for scrutiny; own the organization of the finance function in subsidiaries and the financial integration of potential acquisitions.
• Challenge, improve and automate financial processes, writing controlling specifications for the Financial Data team and identifying improvements in the monthly reporting cycle.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure financial data is well understood and leveraged for decision‑making, and own specific financial streams transversally across geographies.
• Contribute to scaling the team, including participating in hiring and onboarding future team members.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience with French accounting standards and financial statements; background in a top audit firm and/or a fast‑paced scale‑up. Familiarity with consolidation and process automation is a bonus.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to maintain a holistic view while staying rigorous at the detail level. Basic SQL or AI tools knowledge is a bonus.
• Rigorous, hands‑on, highly organized, a critical thinker with concrete proposals. Comfortable working with finance and non‑finance stakeholders. Able to work autonomously and make clear decisions in ambiguous situations.
• Familiarity with insurance accounting or regulated financial entities is a strong plus.
