Role Purpose
You contribute to defining the strategy for your scope within the entity and ensure its implementation in collaboration with your hierarchy. You manage and organise the activities and resources (human and technical) within your perimeter.
You are responsible for validating and transmitting the site’s financial results to the Group (Europe), optimising financial processes, and validating all financial commitments of the site.
You ensure the correct application of accounting and tax rules.
You are also responsible for deploying actions related to the Group’s purchasing culture, securing suppliers, and supporting the acquisition and retention of new business in line with Group, customer, and internal site requirements.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Financial & Purchasing Manager to lead the financial performance, compliance, and purchasing strategy of a key industrial site. This role combines financial leadership, operational support, and strategic purchasing oversight within a multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of all financial data.
- Validate and present site financial results to the European leadership team.
- Analyse performance, explain variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Review reporting produced by Controlling and Accounting teams.
- Ensure full compliance with US GAAP, tax regulations, and internal standards.
- Lead financial planning activities including budgeting, forecasting, and investment evaluation.
- Act as the primary contact for internal and external auditors.
- Lead the purchasing process: needs definition, sourcing, procedures, and administration.
- Promote and deploy the Group’s purchasing culture at site level.
- Validate financial commitments related to external purchases and investments.
- Resolve major supplier disputes and quality issues, with legal support when required.
- Strengthen supplier reliability to support business continuity and new market opportunities.Ensure ASAT compliance and successful audit outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance and purchasing processes.
- Contribute to digital transformation and process optimisation.
Skills required
- Strong knowledge of analytical accounting, FR GAAP and US GAAP.
- Solid understanding of tax and regulatory requirements.
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
- Knowledge of purchasing processes, supply chain, and supplier negotiation.
- Understanding of import/export constraints (customs, documentation, insurance, logistics).
- Advanced Excel and strong proficiency with ERP systems.
- Ability to lead meetings and manage cross‑functional projects.
