Company Overview

We’re a global marketplace for refurbished devices, helping lower our collective environmental impact by providing trustworthy, affordable tech with 92% less carbon emissions than new.

Position Overview

Finance Transformation Officer, reporting to the Director of Finance & Accounting Operations. You will drive cross‑functional initiatives that shape how money moves through the business, translating operational changes into robust finance flows and aligning Ops, Product, Tech and Finance to land transformations smoothly and at scale.

Your Mission (if you accept it)

  • Partner with Ops and cross‑functional stakeholders to support new product launches and strategic initiatives, anticipating and securing the finance impacts end‑to‑end.
  • Facilitate conversations and decisions on business process changes, ensuring alignment between operational reality, product constraints and finance requirements.
  • Upskill and empower operational teams by sharing financial principles and guardrails, so projects are designed with financial accuracy in mind from day one.
  • Partner with Finance teams to scope projects properly, define ownership, and execute with the right balance of autonomy and control.
  • Define accounting treatments and journal entries, and ensure Accounting has everything needed to book impacts accurately (documentation, inputs, timelines, controls).
  • Provide clear guidance and durable documentation that turns complex topics into repeatable processes.

Financial Tools & Transformation (Project Lead)

  • Continuously improve accounting tools and workflows (automation, billing, management fees, close efficiency, etc.).
  • Own the roadmap for modernising our finance stack, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 evolutions: challenge integrators, validate proposals, ensure solutions are scalable and future‑proof.

Continuous Improvement & Strategy

  • Apply best practices, industry standards and proven methodologies to shape and execute the finance transformation vision.
  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities, benchmark best practices, and recommend pragmatic process changes and solutions with measurable impact.

Qualifications

  • You have 8+ years of experience and a proven track record in finance transformation, ideally in a tech, marketplace, or high‑growth scale‑up, or in a consulting firm with strong tech client exposure. Audit / Accounting background is a plus for accounting depth.
  • You’re a natural project driver: structured, autonomous, able to move things forward across teams without formal authority.
  • English is a no brainer.
  • You are a reliable team player with a strong sense of accountability and ownership. You have an unquestionable credibility and integrity.
  • You are highly organised, motivated, analytical, have a sense of urgency and an ability to prioritise tasks.
  • You are a hands‑on person, agile, pragmatic and a problem solver.
  • Ideally, you are familiar with Dynamics 365 already.
