Finance Project Manager (6 months FTC Part time)
Iron Mountain is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Finance Project Manager to join our Finance team in France on a fixed-term basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial and statutory reporting, maintaining compliance with local and United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) requirements, and producing robust process documentation.
You will collaborate closely with our In-Country and Outsourced Accounting teams, as well as the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Controllership group, to drive governance and process excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Financial & Statutory Reporting: Support monthly US GAAP financial reporting for country entities to the group (including journal review and approval) and manage the preparation of statutory accounts and tax return data collection.
- Ledger Reconciliation & Review: Perform monthly reviews of US GAAP versus French GAAP reconciliations, resolve outstanding differences, and conduct regular balance sheet reviews across all ledgers to propose continuous improvements.
- Audit & Compliance Management: Support statutory audits in coordination with accounting shared services and ensure full compliance with Iron Mountain group accounting policies, US GAAP, and Sarbanes-Oxley Lite (SOX‑Lite) internal controls.
- Process Documentation: Prepare and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and comprehensive process documentation for core accounting workflows.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience managing a General Ledger close for a large multinational corporation and working within a matrix environment.
- Strong knowledge of French GAAP, US GAAP (or International Financial Reporting Standards - IFRS), and the mechanisms required to bridge the two ledger systems.
- An accounting degree (Chartered Accountant, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Certified Public Accountant, or local French equivalent).
- Fluency in both French and English with excellent communication and team‑building skills.
- A proactive, self‑starting mindset with a proven problem‑solving skill set and the independence to challenge the status quo.
- A solid understanding of taxation, particularly Value Added Tax (VAT), and experience working within a shared service environment is highly desirable.
