The Recipe For Success

As part of a replacement appointment, we are seeking a Plant Finance Manager , reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), to oversee the overall financial performance of our industrial site.

As a true business partner to the site management , you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of the accounts, controlling production costs and supporting operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Based at our site in Fresnoy-Le-Grand (02-Aisne), your main responsibilities will include:

Industrial management accounting (core of the role)

• Overseeing the calculation and analysis of production costs
• Leading the budgeting process, forecasts and monitoring of variances (actual vs budget)
• Developing and maintaining industrial performance indicators
• Supporting investment projects (business plans, profitability calculations, CAPEX monitoring)
• Identifying areas for optimisation and challenging operational teams on the performance of their areas of responsibility

Financial management of the site

• Ensuring the production of monthly reports and their consistency with the Group’s expectations
• Ensure the reliability of the monthly and annual financial closings
• Ensure compliance with accounting, tax and legal obligations
• Optimise cash flow management and the site’s working capital requirements

Management

You will supervise, lead and develop the skills of your direct reports: Treasury, Accounting and Management Control

The perfect mix: What we are looking for

• Education: an engineering or industrial management degree, ideally supplemented by training in finance or management accounting (dual engineering-management degree, specialised master’s, DSCG, IAE, etc.). Candidates with a finance background and significant hands‑on experience in a manufacturing environment will also be considered.
• Experience: at least 8 years in an industrial environment, including several years in industrial management accounting, cost control or industrial performance management; experience in metallurgy, foundry work or industrial processes is an advantage.
• Management: a proven track record of successfully leading a team.
• Skills: expertise in industrial production costs and cost accounting mechanisms; proficiency with ERP systems and BI tools; advanced Excel skills.
• Attitude: rigour, analytical mind, practical approach and leadership; you know how to balance financial rigour with a close connection to production.
• English: working level (B2+ / C1) – there are weekly communications with the Group.
