FINANCE MANAGER - CRANCEY / ROMILLY-SUR-SEINE (HYBRID)

3 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT INITIALLY TO COVER MATERNITY LEAVE

50,000-52,000 EUROS, HYBRID ROLE WITH HOME WORKING AND SOME VISITS TO SITE.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller/ Finance Manager, to undertake all aspects of managing financial department, responsible for reporting of a few business units within one legal entity. Department under his/her control is responsible for corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial structure of the organisation, including professional development of 2 subordinates.
  • Manage and control all accounting operations including, A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, inventory accounting, credit control and petty cash
  • Supervise reporting cycles; timely and accurate report financials in line with Group (internal) and external standards.
  • Manage and comply with local and national reporting requirements for tax filings.
  • Prepare & liaise with external and internal auditors and prepare yearend financial statements.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Implement and adhere to Group internal controls.
  • Prepare budget and financial forecasts, report on variances.
  • Manage the cash flow; prepare cash flow forecasts and variance analysis.
  • Implement cost accounting practices and automate processes in line with group best practice.
  • Business partner the general manager by implementing robust profitability analysis by department, customer and product.
  • Lead ERP upgrade and recruit to fill anticipated staff and process gaps in preparation.

Requirements:

  • University degree in finance and accounting
  • 10+ years of experience in combined accounting and finance positions, including minimum 2 years of documented managerial position.
  • Recognised accounting qualification (ACA or equivalent).
  • Experience in working in production environment.
  • Through knowledge of accounting principles (French GAAP and IFRS)
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting
  • Experience with creating financial statements.
  • Literacy with IT skills.
  • ERP system implementation & maintaining literacy (Netsuite skills an advantage).
  • Ability to work in a team and lead a team.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Professional English and French in writing and speaking.
