We serve millions of users with 10,000+ merchants, offering cashback, automatic coupons, price alerts, and carbon tracking. We are building an AI-powered shopping assistant to help users find the best products by price, quality, and impact. We are scaling globally with a strong focus on the US.
Joko & our Finance Team — Founded in 2018, Joko has grown to scale with profitability and multi-country expansion. We are planning to scale the team toward ~5 people, including a VP Finance and four contributors across business partnering, FP&A, accounting & controlling, and treasury. You will report directly to the VP Finance.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business teams as a finance business partner for a defined scope (business line or geography). Enable stakeholders to make better decisions through data, modeling, and disciplined analysis.
- Own the budget and re-forecasts for your perimeter; lead bottom-up budgeting and monthly business reviews with clear conclusions.
- Contribute to the group financial model with revenue projections, CAC modeling, and cost budgets; run scenario analyses to identify risks and opportunities.
- Coordinate monthly close with external accountants; manage P&L and balance-sheet close, annual closing, and audits; support multi-entity, multi-country consolidation (IFRS).
- Monitor cash inflows and working capital; manage invoicing and collections to ensure liquidity.
- Ensure local compliance (VAT, CFE, payslip-related taxes) in coordination with external partners.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers within scope to optimize cost structure.
- Establish and maintain robust financial processes and controls to prevent fraud and errors; scale processes for 200+ employees across multiple geographies.
- Leverage AI to transform finance operations: automate reporting and reconciliation, augment forecasting and analysis, and contribute to an AI-first finance approach.
- Support fundraising and external communications when relevant (due diligence, financial reporting).
Qualifications
- Languages: English fluent (written and spoken). French is a strong plus for accounting and tax interactions. International experience is valued.
- Experience: 4–8 years in traditional finance (corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, transaction services, or audit) with exposure to a high-growth tech company or scale-up. Multi-country or multi-entity experience is a strong plus. A double degree in accounting is a plus.
- Strategic mindset: Ability to connect financial analysis to business decisions and challenge stakeholders with data-backed recommendations.
- Analytical and modeling skills: Proficient in building financial or operational models; comfortable with cohort revenue, CAC modeling, and bottom-up cost modeling.
- Stakeholder management: Strong communication and ability to partner with diverse functions.
- Accounting and financial metrics understanding: Ability to evaluate financial statements and leverage data for decision-making.
- International finance: Experience with multi-country operations, multi-currency, and building finance ops in new markets.
- AI-native mindset: Familiar with using AI tools to automate and accelerate finance tasks.
- Attention to detail, communication skills, and entrepreneurial mindset; willingness to be hands-on and scale a company from tens of millions to billions in revenue.
