The Finance Lead – Rare diseases plays a key role in supporting the Rare Diseases Business Unit by acting as a trusted financial partner across an international, multi-country environment. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, the role works closely with Head of Regions to ensure reliable financial reporting, deliver meaningful analysis, and support monitoring performance. Through close collaboration with the Rare Diseases organization, the Finance Lead helps translate financial data into actionable insights and contributes to informed decision-making and continuous improvement of financial and operational performance across the Rare Diseases perimeter.**Key Responsibilities****Financial Business Partnering**

  • Support the finance business partnering activities for multiple regions by providing relevant, timely, and accurate financial analyses.
  • Provide Heads of Regions with financial insights & analytics to support operational reviews and performance discussions.
  • Collaborate with local finance and business stakeholders across regions to ensure consistency and reliability of financial information.
  • Build appropriate tool/ reportings to ensure proper financial analysis and financial planning in collaboration with the Rare Disease Division
  • Act as a reliable point of contact for regional financial questions and follow-ups.**Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)**
  • Lead the preparation, consolidation, and review of financial cycles (Actuals, Forecasts, Budget, Strategic Plan) in line with Group standards and timelines.
  • Analyze performance and variances versus plan; and help translate financial results into clear and structured insights.
  • Support scenario analysis and forecasting activities in close collaboration with the CBO Rare Diseases and regional teams.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports and systems.**Demand Planning & Inventory Optimisation**
  • Work closely with sales, supply chain, and operations teams to support demand planning and forecasting activities.
  • Assist in the analysis of inventory levels, stock movements, and working capital impacts.
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving stock efficiency and service levels.**Cross-functional Collaboration**
  • Contribute to financial analyses related to potential partnerships, investments, or M&A opportunities within the Business Unit.
  • Provide financial analyses to support business initiatives, projects, and partner evaluations.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analyses requested by management.**Continuous Improvement & Governance**
  • Support initiatives to improve financial processes, reporting quality, and FP&A efficiency.
  • Contribute to the harmonization of financial practices.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with financial governance, internal controls, and Group policies.
  • Participate in documentation and standardization of financial processes.**Profile****Education & Qualifications**
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.**Professional Experience**
  • Significant experience of around **10 years** in finance, controlling, or FP&A roles with progressively increasing responsibility in an international environment.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in **FP&A, business controlling, or finance support roles**, with exposure to regional or multi-country activities considered a strong asset.
  • Solid experience in **budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring, and variance analysis**, with the ability to support financial cycles end-to-end.
  • Hands-on experience with **financial systems and consolidation tools** (e.g. One

Stream, SAP, or equivalent) and **advanced proficiency in Excel**; experience with reporting and data visualization tools is a plus.**Key Competencies & Skills*** **Business partnering mindset**, with the ability to support stakeholders through reliable analysis and constructive financial input.

  • Strong **analytical and problem-solving skills**, capable of translating financial data into clear, structured insights for business discussions.
  • Strong **communication skills**, able to engage effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders in an international context.
