Finance Intern
THE ROLE
The Finance Intern will support the Sales Finance team in driving commercial performance through data analysis, reporting, and process improvement.
The role focuses particularly on trade funds management and will actively contribute to a strategic project aimed at automating trade funds processes, improving transparency, accuracy, and efficiency.
This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in commercial finance business partnering, working closely with Sales, Trade Marketing, and Finance teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Finance & Performance Analysis
Support the preparation and analysis of sales performance reports and KPIs (sales, margins, trade investments)
Participate in monthly closing and forecasting cycles, including variance analysis
Assist in building insightful dashboards and reports to support decision‑making
Contribute to customer and channel performance tracking, highlighting risks and opportunities
Trade Funds (GTN) Management Support
Assist in the monitoring and reconciliation of commercial investments (rebates, discounts, etc)
Support validation and tracking of customer invoices and trade terms execution
Ensure data consistency between systems and contribute to improving financial accuracy
Provide analytical support on ROI of trade activities
Trade Funds Automation Project
Support the implementation of a trade funds management automation initiative
Help map current processes and identify inefficiencies and standardization opportunities
Assist in data structuring, testing, and validation of new tools or systems
Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders (Finance, IT, Sales, Trade Marketing)
Contribute to documentation of new processes, guidelines, and best practices
Budget Tracking Automation & Cross‑Project Support
Support additional finance transformation and automation initiatives, notably on budget tracking and monitoring processes
Assist in improving budget visibility, tracking accuracy, and reporting efficiency
Contribute to the development of standardized tools and dashboards for financial follow‑up
Provide analytical and operational support across ad hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives within Sales Finance
Business Partnering & Ad Hoc Support
Work closely with Sales and Trade Marketing teams to support commercial initiatives
Provide ad hoc analysis on promotions, customer agreements, and investments
Contribute to process improvement initiatives within Sales Finance
Support preparation of presentations for management reviews
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
Strong analytical mindset and high attention to detail.
Proficiency in Excel (Power BI or data visualization tools is a plus).
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross‑functional environment.
Proactive, curious, and eager to learn in a dynamic international setting.
Fluent in English (additional Southern Europe languages are a plus).
