Finance Director EMEA - Artemyn
Artemyn is a global minerals company, created in 2024 after the acquisition of a part of Imerys' business by Flacks Group. The company with headquarters in Paris has a global network of production sites and distribution hubs.
Function
As Finance Director EMEA, you are responsible for the EMEA Finance Department, taking on a strategic role, challenging the business and providing support to the management team on policy-related decisions.
In close cooperation with the regional VP’s and the management team you are jointly responsible for the realization of the financial and non-financial targets. In addition, you ensure a high-performaning department, where you will monitor the operations and structure of the various local finance departments and will lift them to a higher level.
Management & Organization
- Lead the EMEA Finance team, consisting of 3 Finance Managers (operating from different European hubs) and an FP&A analyst.
- Challenge and optimize the existing organization focusing on a more efficient structure and way of working.
- Implement best practices in the field of internal control and processes, driven by continuous improvement.
Accounting, Reporting & Consolidation
- Manage and improve accounting systems to ensure timely and accurate data.
- Ensure the monthly reports (including P&L, Cash flow and variance analyses) and coordinate with external auditors.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Draft reliable business plans, budgets and forecasts together with the FP&A analyst.
- Adjust when the financial performance is behind schedule and analyze investment proposals (CapEx).
- Ensure consistent data between BI and finance systems.
Treasury, Cash Management & Tax
- Optimize cash flow (accounts receivable management, payment processes and inventory levels) and looking for external financing.
Profile
For this role, we are looking for a self-managing, result-oriented director with a strong financial background that can strategically support and advise the management team on financial and policy-related decisions and optimizations.
- Master's degree with an economic/financial background with ±10 years of relevant experience, ideally in an international context.
- Strong combination of expertise in accounting and FP&A, with the ability to translate financial insights into strategic actions.
- Analytical and forward-thinking, with a focus on cash flow, working capital and performance improvement.
- Hands-on, self-starting and enterprising; You take ownership and bring structure to a growing organization.
- Strong business partner with a broad view and the ability to interact smoothly with various stakeholders.
- Fluent in English and Dutch; based in Antwerp with limited travel.
