Finance Application Manager

Job Description

In order to address its Ship Management ERP (SmartTOUCH) support and evolution, CMA ships is reinforcing its Digital Solutions team with a position of IT Application Expert (Finance Module).

Responsibilities

• Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations.
• Ensure all duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies.
• Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis.
• Be responsible for maintenance and product evolution of software applications.
• Provide level 1/2 technical support for day-to-day application queries and issues.
• Analyze the root cause, resolve the data management issues and propose permanent fix (if applicable).
• Monitor, manage and solve application problems via the dedicated incident management tool within the OLA.
• Document issues, observations and outcomes accurately to escalates issues as required in vendors incident management tool and to ensure the resolution within the SLA.
• Maintain and create documentation for technical troubleshooting and best practices.
• Maintain understanding of company business processes.
• Identify, capture and translate business requirements for technical discussion.
• Prioritise business needs with Business Stakeholders on the release of functionalities.
• Document the feedback, suggestions and business requirements via the dedicated change management tool.
• Monitor product development to ensure consistency against business requirements.
• Perform functional test on product and coordinate User Acceptance Test with business users.

Profile

• Must have 3-5 years experience in Product management and application support.
• Driving product and process improvements.
• Providing front end application support.
• A maritime culture is highly appreciated for this position.
• Fluent in both English and French.
