Field Services Engineer

We are partnering with an innovative semiconductor equipment manufacturer specialising in high-precision wafer handling, inspection and automation solutions used by some of the biggest names in the semiconductor industry.
They are looking to appoint a Field Service Engineer to support the installation, commissioning and servicing of cutting-edge semiconductor equipment across France and Europe, becoming a key part of their growing international service team.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on role covering the full service lifecycle of complex semiconductor equipment. You'll receive extensive product training before taking ownership of installations, maintenance, troubleshooting and customer support across multiple international sites. The role offers a unique blend of field engineering, customer interaction and technical problem-solving within a growing global business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Installing, commissioning and optimising advanced semiconductor equipment
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical and software faults
- Performing preventative maintenance, repairs and system calibration
- Providing both onsite and remote technical support to customers
- Delivering operator training and technical guidance following installations
- Completing service documentation and following quality management processes
- Working closely with engineering teams to improve products and customer support services
What They're Looking For
- Experience as a Field Service Engineer or Service Engineer within semiconductor equipment or a related high-tech industry
- Electrical, mechanical or mechatronic engineering background
- Strong fault-finding and hands-on troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working independently and managing customer relationships
- Willingness to travel regularly across France and Europe
- Fluent English (French is beneficial but not essential)
