Field Service Engineer – Lab Equipment / Lab Instruments
Location: France | Travel Required (Nationally)
Mackinnon Bruce International is partnered with a global Life Science organisation. We are seeking a customer-focused and technically skilled Field Service Engineer to support the installation, maintenance, and servicing of cutting‑edge Lab Equipment across France / French Speaking Switzerland
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic international environment where you will play a key role in ensuring customers receive exceptional technical support and service excellence.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will provide on‑site technical support for the installation, preventative maintenance, calibration, and repair of Lab Equipment. You will work closely with Pharma, Biotech, distributors, and internal teams to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and configure Lab Equipment in partnership with distributors at customer sites
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and calibration activities
- Diagnose technical faults and implement corrective actions efficiently
- Deliver product and technical training to customers and distributors, both remotely and on‑site
- Provide responsive technical support via phone, email, and in person
- Maintain accurate service documentation and reports in line with company procedures and regulatory standards
- Build strong customer relationships through professional and proactive support
- Travel regularly throughout France, with occasional international travel for training and support activities
About You
We are looking for a motivated engineer with strong technical problem‑solving skills and a passion for customer service.
Requirements
- Engineering or technical background, ideally in electrical or mechanical disciplines
- Proven experience in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and technical repairs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in both French and English
- Full clean driving licence
- Flexible approach to travel and working hours
- Experience working with medical devices, laboratory equipment, or healthcare technologies
- Previous field service or customer‑facing technical support experience
