Field Service Technician

Overview

Snapshot of Your Day: Your day will be spent maintaining and restoring the performance of onshore wind turbines, combining hands-on technical work with advanced troubleshooting. You’ll work at height, inside nacelles, and alongside a skilled service team to ensure turbines run safely, reliably, and at peak efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical turbine systems
• Execute complex repairs, major component replacements, and retrofits using specialized tools
• Diagnose and resolve advanced faults in control systems, SCADA, and high‑voltage electrical circuits
• Analyze turbine performance data to identify trends, predict failures, and improve availability
• Support and guide junior technicians on complex technical challenges
• Ensure accurate service reporting and compliance with quality and safety standards

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Wind Turbine Technician with increasing responsibility
• Strong expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, and high‑voltage electrical systems
• Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills using schematics and test equipment
• Formal vocational training or associate‑level education in wind, electrical, or mechanical technology
• Electrical Trade Certificate and solid understanding of EHS and working‑at‑heights procedures
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a service team
