Field Service Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer based in France and able to work remote with technical support across the central region. This position reports to the EU Central Field Service Manager and is part of the Field Service team, requiring weekly travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Become proficient in the support of our world‑class products so you can provide consistent, world‑class services and support to our customers.
• Take responsibility for assigned customer service inquiries, repairs, installations, preventative maintenance and OQ schedules.
• Support our customers to fast‑track scientific discoveries, helping us pave the way for advanced disease detection, drug discovery, and therapeutic development, crucial for improving human health and wellness.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of industry‑relevant work experience in a similar role.
• Good mechanical, electronics, and electrical experience and knowledge of assembly‑level fault detection and testing (instrument‑specific training will be provided).
• Applicants must be customer‑focused, able to communicate well, and work independently, taking ownership of issues from beginning to end.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements

• Ability to travel — minimum of 80% utilization. Regular overnight travel will be required, primarily within the France region, with occasional travel to other locations for training and to assist other service teams as the need arises.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• IT, computer and network management.
• Cellular imaging products diagnostics and repairs.
• Working in a lab environment.
