Keysight’s Global Services Organisation (KGSO) is seeking an ambitious and talented Field Service Engineer (FSE) to join its team, responsible for delivering remote and on‑site support services to Keysight’s Solution customers across the High‑Volume Manufacturing Industry Sector, with a focus on In‑Circuit and End‑of‑Line Functional Testing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and implement new system installations and decommissioning at customer site.
- Schedule and deliver annual and bi‑annual on‑site system calibrations.
- Installation of hardware, software and firmware upgrades and service notes.
- Perform remote and on‑site troubleshooting and repair of customer equipment in a timely, thorough, and professional manner.
- Work with cross‑functional teams to address difficult repair situations and escalations.
- Deliver face‑to‑face customer training.
- Determine and develop approaches to the varied assignments associated with this position.
- Lead field service and support projects requiring coordination with other functions and customers.
- Solve a broad range of system problems of varying scope and complexity, involving hardware, software, networking, application and facilities.
- Assist the Sales teams as needed; proactively look for growth opportunities to drive new solution sales and annual recurring revenue.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology or equivalent.
- Fluent in French and English is mandatory.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record; ability to travel via car and air.
- Flexibility to travel across Europe is essential (estimated 50‑60% requirement, France focused). International travel may also be required, although much less frequently.
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge and experience of in‑circuit test, functional test and test automation would be advantageous.
- Electrical, Electronic and Electromechanical troubleshooting techniques and skills knowledge.
- Previous on‑site commissioning and/or service delivery experience is desirable.
- Understanding of Windows operating system and networking fundamentals.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a logical manner.
- Be self‑motivated, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to make decisions that favourably effect customer uptime.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in high‑stress, mission critical situations.
- Flexible working hours per customer commitments, with the ability to travel at short notice.
- Requires general proficiency with tools, systems and procedures to accomplish job.
