Supply Chain Operations is part of Vestas’ growing and fast‑changing Service Business Unit, supporting the maintenance and reliability of wind turbine operations across Europe. Our team is responsible for the planning, repair, certification, and technical support of Service tools, playing a key role in ensuring safety and operational excellence in the field.
Role
As a Field Operation Worker, you will be at the heart of our tool certification activities in France. Working in pairs, you will travel to different sites to inspect, certify, and manage lifting tools and equipment, ensuring everything meets safety and compliance standards. This is a field‑oriented role combining practical technical work, travel, and coordination with international teams.
What You Will Do
- Inspect, certify, and manage lifting tools and equipment on site.
- Label tools with inspection status and next inspection date.
- Prepare and set up certification equipment according to a defined plan.
- Upload certification documents and material movements into SAP.
- Handle and organize lifting equipment in the field and in the warehouse.
- Identify and scrap damaged or non‑compliant tools.
- Travel across France to certification sites using a company service van.
- Collaborate with technicians on site and with Tool Coordinators.
Location & Schedule
~50% travelling and working on Vestas sites.
~50% based at the main warehouse in Troyes.
Main warehouse: Troyes, France.
4–6 weekends per year may require staying near certification sites (weekends and travel are fully compensated).
Who We’re Looking For
- Valid driving licence (mandatory).
- Meticulous attention to detail (essential for safety and compliance).
- Comfortable interacting with people, especially technicians.
- Willingness to travel across France and occasionally work weekends.
- Fluent French for daily on‑site communication.
- Operational English to work with international teams.
