At Vestas, we are looking for a Field Operations Technician to join our team based in Troyes. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the safety and performance of our wind farms by inspecting, certifying, and managing the tools and lifting equipment used by our field service teams.
Your Role
As part of the Service Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the compliance and traceability of tools and lifting equipment used across Vestas sites throughout France.
Your time will be split between:Travelling to Vestas wind farm locations across France
Working from our main warehouse in Troyes
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Inspection and Certification
Inspect and certify tools and lifting equipment
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Identify damaged or non-compliant equipment and arrange its removal
Label equipment and maintain inspection schedules
Equipment Management
Prepare equipment for certification activities
Maintain certification records and documentation
Download and archive certificates
Record equipment transactions in SAPOrganise and manage equipment across operational sites and the warehouse
Collaboration and Coordination
Work closely with Field Service Technicians on site
Liaise with Tooling Coordinators based in Spain
Support the continuous application of Vestas' safety and quality standards
Working Pattern
Approximately 50% travel to Vestas sites across France
Approximately 50% based at the Troyes warehouse
Company vehicle provided for business travel
Availability required for 4 to 6 weekends per year
Weekend work and travel are fully compensated
Your Profile
You are organised, detail-oriented, self-motivated and enjoy working in a hands-on field environment.
Ideally, you have:A valid driving licence (mandatory)
A strong commitment to safety
Excellent organisational skills
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to travel frequently throughout France
Fluency in French
Professional English skills enabling you to work with international teams
Experience in a technical, industrial, logistics or maintenance environment would be a strong advantage.
