About your team and your mission

Field marketing drives growth at GitGuardian. Events remain one of our top pipeline contributors, connecting us directly with enterprise cybersecurity leaders and developers across Europe.

As we scale our European presence—particularly in Germany—we need a Field Marketing Manager who can own our event strategy in the DACH region while supporting broader European initiatives.

Reporting to the Head of Field Marketing, Jérémy, you'll work closely with Sales, BDR, and the Marketing team to design, execute, and optimize field marketing programs from events and ABM campaigns to regional initiatives that drive qualified pipeline and strengthen GitGuardian's presence in the European market.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Own your region marketing plan : propose the best marketing mix for the region (DACH, UK+Nordics), make recommendations in terms of localization needs, source local vendors.
  • Plan and execute GitGuardian events strategy in the region . Design memorable event experiences that differentiate GitGuardian from competitors.
  • Measure campaign efficiency and optimise to drive pipeline generation .
  • Manage the marketing budget for the region .
  • Align with local sales and BDR teams . Coach them on best approaches depending on tactics.
  • Adapt GitGuardian's messaging and positioning for German-speaking audiences , ensuring cultural relevance and resonance in the DACH market.

About you

Here’s what we consider essential for success in this role:

  • Business-level fluency in German (C2)
  • Organizational skills & attention to detail : You can manage 3-4 events and other tactics simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and handle last‑minute crises without breaking a sweat.
  • Pipeline generation mindset : Strong understanding of B2B demand generation metrics (MQLs, SQLs, pipeline contribution, ROI) and experience working closely with Sales teams.
  • Experience in DACH markets : 1–2 years working in or marketing to DACH regions, understanding local business culture differences.
  • Local marketing plan building experience combining different tactics to meet objectives, working in collaboration with centralized resources such as SEA and SMA managers.
  • Creativity & Memorable Experience Design : Demonstrated ability to create memorable, differentiated event or campaign experiences.
  • Sales Coaching & Event Performance Management : Experience coaching BDRs and sales reps on event best practices.
  • Comfortable using AI tools : whether that’s Claude, Gemini, or other LLMs to move faster, write sharper, and automate repetitive tasks.

The following skills would strengthen your application but aren't required:

  • Cybersecurity industry knowledge : Basic understanding of the cybersecurity landscape and ability to understand and discuss GitGuardian's value proposition.
  • Design skills : Working knowledge of Figma, Canva, Illustrator, or Photoshop, with experience briefing design teams and managing vendors for print/goodies production.
  • Marketing automation tools : Working knowledge of platforms like HubSpot, Customer.io, Salesforce for event lead management, promotion, and nurturing.
  • French : Fluency in French is a bonus to work at our Paris office.

The interview process

  4. Final interview with Carole, CMO To detail our company’s vision and ambitions for the next couple of years and assess cultural fit.
  5. References check You can start thinking about two contacts who can attest to your previous or current professional experiences. These contacts should be as recent as possible, and we will call them at the end of the process.
