Field Apps Engineer

Description

We are looking for a FIELD APPLICATIONS ENGINEER to provide Applicationssupport for the development and implementation of KLA SFS/ADE Division tools at customer facilities.

Responsibilities include:

Technical Support: Driving acceptance of new tools at customer sites. Create recipes forregular production support. Develop Best Known Methods for customer use cases, drivingproduct adoption and differentiate vs. competition. Train operators & engineers on theequipment. Analyze tool performance and work in team with Service and Tech Supportorganization on problem solving. Work on complex problems and develop unique solutionsto meet customers’ requirements.

Project management: Identify and manage priorities and milestones. Develop clear projectschedule and track progress. Work in synergy with defectivity and metrology ApplicationsEng., Business Unit management and Division. Develop value proposition and effectiveproject summaries for Executive meetings.

Communication: Establish regular communication with the customer. Present and highlightthe system values for customer use cases and differentiate vs. competition. Communicateresults and issues with the Division. Execute plan of actions and collect data.

Pre - sale support : Assist sales and marketing in potential opportunities and/or competitivesituation. Helping with brainstorming strategy for penetration of new customers and adoption.

Essential Technical Skills: • Knowledge of Advanced Optics technology, Physics, Material Science• IC Process background: previous customer/industry experience is a plus• Solid understanding of semiconductor process technologies.• Excellent presentation and communication skills• Project management experience - Ability to handle multiple projects in parallel• Have creative thinking approach to deal with new customer challenges• Excellent problem-solving skills

Minimum Qualifications

• Languages: Fluent English & French (both written and spoken), Italian/ German knowledge is a plus
• Physics, Material Science Micro/ Nano Electronic Eng. field of studies will be preferred.
• Bachelor's Level Degree with > 3 years Semiconductor industry experience as process / Apps Eng
• Master's Level Degree with at least 1-2 years of experience.
• PHD degree is a plus.

The candidate needs to be a hands-on type of person, aggressively interested in learning newthings and keen on communicating with customers and internally.Frequent (> 50%) travel is required.
