Field Account Executive
Overview
Lightspeed is looking for Field Sales Account Executives in Lyon. As one of the first Field Sales Account Executives at Lightspeed in Lyon, you’ll help lay the foundations of our field sales presence in the region. Working with our Field Sales Manager, you’ll build a high-performing team and drive the entire sales cycle from prospecting and demos to closing deals in Lyon and surrounding areas. Lightspeed’s Hospitality team is in hyper-growth mode, and we are expanding our team and reach.
Note: This role is based in Lyon, France.
What you’ll be doing
- Converting prospects into customers through in-person sales methods such as door-to-door, cold calling and presentations
- Managing the full sales cycle: identifying and developing leads, meeting with clients, creating value propositions, structuring financial deals, negotiating contracts, and closing deals
- Visiting customers regularly to identify business challenges and pain points
- Conducting in-person demonstrations of the retail product
- Analyzing, reporting and taking action on pipeline metrics
- Driving performance to meet monthly, quarterly and annual goals
- Creating new business through network events
What you’ll be bringing
- Relevant sales experience in a field and outbound environment, preferably solution-sales/technology-related
- Strong understanding of sales development best practices
- Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (listening, verbal and written)
- Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed sales targets
- A quantitative mindset and ability to use data to inform decisions
- Ability to thrive in a competitive, dynamic, quota-driven environment
- Fluency in French and English
- Entrepreneurial and agile mindset with a bias toward action and adaptability to meet business needs
